Why Astrology?

I believe, as a collective, we are moving beyond a time when spiritual practice is only meant for fluffy self-padding, crystal toting, spiritual, “sex appeal” aesthetics. No offense to my crystal people out there. I like pretty rocks just as much as anyone, but my goal in astrology practice is to take these often nebulous ideas and ground them into the real world. When these ideals are brought to terra firma, I believe they may offer deeper connection not only to your personal experience but to help you form healthy relationships with the ecosystem of other and planet. Times, they are changing. It is high time that we begin to see the connections rather than the separations, the patterns versus comparisons. If we are to heal, we must be relationship-focused and in my not so humble opinion, Astrology is one of the most wonderful archetypal methods to remind us that nobody is better or worse than one another. We all have apparently horrific shadows that are actually usually unrefined and remarkable divine qualities with very convincing disguises. And…they come in different flavors. The more we study these different flavors, the deeper our compassion can run both for ourselves and others. There is no astrological sign or configuration that is better, no astrological sign or configuration that is worse—only lessons and different faces. We all have a part to play in refining our psychological broken shards into ocean-worn sea glass. It’s time to jump into the ocean, to participate, to show up to our lives with the full package, the good the bad and the ugly—all in, all the way. It is in the realm of astrology where spirit and matter connect. It is a language as ancient as the moment some humanoid being looked up at the stars with wonder, confusion and hope. Let’s make use of it to live our lives, wildly, purposefully and presently.

What clients have said about their experience:

“Katrina is masterful. Being in her presence feels like sitting with someone who embodies lifetimes of deep self cultivation work. I’ve worked with astrologers for over a decade. Katrina is quite a translator. Reading stars and planets is a fine art and I find the level of subtlety she has reached to be very important in tuning in the energies. As a lifelong yogi and artist, Katrina is to me an incredibly refined ally to help my inner work and turn it into the artful life I’m meant to bring forth. I’m eager to keep working with her knowledge, as tool for awareness.”

Audrey D.

“Katrina is a Medicine Woman. Her wisdom holds the gift of healing and the desire to restore balance. She is heart-centered and works for the greater good. Her passion for serving others is evident in her depth of knowledge, how well prepared she is and how tender she delivers her message. Katrina is a gift to us all and needed now more than ever”

Lynne Q.

“I was most impressed with the level of knowledge, insight and foresight as well as Katrina’s mastery of the subject matter, in her readings. I found the information very valuable to know my past, current and future tendencies as well as my abilities pertaining to my overall lifework. It was a great “reset” for me per considering my life decisions and thought process for helping me navigate life. Both readings were an outstanding experience and an eye-opener for me, offering a level of great comfort and healing. My experiences were so incredibly positive that I’ve recommended her sessions to family and friends. I look forward to working with Katrina again in future, to sample the many healing modalities she offers.”

Christina N.

“I began my astrological reading with Katrina with these questions in mind: Does it matter where and when I came into the planet? Do I choose my destiny or do things align? Or both? And is there something, some helpful nugget of truth or guidance, in this process for me?

If you like to explore all kinds of possibilities concerning the unfolding of your life, an astrological reading with Katrina will give you plenty to think about. She was insightful, caring, smart, and able to explain a bit about how astrology works as we went along (since I was a novice).

She will affirm that your pathway is unique and important. I did not experience my reading so much as "fortune telling" but more as information for me to understand the possibilities of alignment (or not) in my path. If you are curious about the ebb and flow of patterns, energy, and growth points in your life, a reading with Katrina will be explanatory, validating, and maybe even inspiring!”

Suzanne Haas-Cunningham, PhD.

“Katrina's astrological reading mimicked exactly what is going on in my life

and helped me put together a future strategy. I am currently retiring

my business and am looking at personal retirement. I started this action

last year and my reading indicated that is what I was doing and that

I would successfully transition into retirement. All with a functional

and successful plan. Her readings were and are very helpful with my business and life.”

Jerry T.

At this time, I offer two types of readings. There will be more to come as the year progresses.

Birth Chart

This reading is suitable for folks at any stage of life - all ages and astrology experience are welcome. We will focus on an in-depth look at your natal chart, including your innate strengths and challenges according to the planets. Whether you are in need of direction or are simply curious, your reading will be an enlightening and healing experience that will ultimately connect you with the magnificent spark that lies within your soul. That light is your birthright which, too often, becomes dulled or shrouded by life’s challenges. A personalized reading can help you to realign with that spark and embody the full brightness of your soul’s potential. Our greatest navigation tools are the stars and planets above. I look forward to being your guide.

Personal Year

90-Minutes, $200

Do you want to know what to expect in the next 12 months and how to harness the life cycle you are in and the astrological energies unique to you? Do you feel lost, stuck or overwhelmed? I’ve been through times like this and the one thing that truly helped me was understanding my soul blueprint through my astrology chart. Astrology readings can help you to tune into your soul as well as understand the wider reasons why you are going through, or have been through difficult times. We can accurately identify key life passages and transitions as well as look to the future for more auspicious and beneficial passages and transits. We can then plan our activities and harness the natural energy for maximum success. We will look at the placement of your progressed planets as well as the key transits at play for the next 1-2 years - in other words how the positions of the planets now are activating your birth chart. You can ask specific questions such as "when should I launch my program/business or what are the main themes for me in the next 12 months?"

I also offer gift certificates as these make fantastic birthday and holiday gifts for those you love. If you would like to purchase a gift certificate, please contact me.

Full Moon in Virgo, March 18th, 2022

How to Read this Report

In order to fully appreciate this reading, it is important that you are familiar with your rising or ascendant sign. This is different from your sun sign which is what you will normally look-up in the horoscope section of your favorite magazine. Your rising sign depends on your time of birth as it appears on your birth certificate and provides a much more nuanced and accurate account of your position in the cosmos. In order to find your rising sign please, visit this site. I have designed the reading in this fashion as I think this is the first doorway into realizing that astrology is so much larger than your daily horoscope. Knowing your rising sign opens up greater possibilities of archetypal exploration. In some schools of astrology, it is considered to be far more important than your sun sign. To me, it often indicates a very specific signature of the soul.

What if I don’t know my exact time of birth?

For various reasons, many people don’t have access to their birth certificates. If this is the case, please feel free to contact me. There are ways to figure out your rising sign but they require a seasoned astrologer and I’m happy to help you.

Now onto the fun stuff.

Virgo Speaks

As a Lunar Virgo, myself, I can tell you a few things about this transit from a more personal standpoint. Virgo Moon people have bodies that are so finely tuned that they can usually detect even the most subtle atmospheric, emotional or physical changes in their environment. Being an insanely sensitive antenna is their superpower and it’s also their achilles heel. What I will say about this full moon is– for at least 24 hours before and after the full moon, you will most likely feel things that you don’t normally experience: strange bodily sensations, unexpected pain that has no physical correlation to any specific issue, digestive changes, nervous system responses. What is the remedy, you may ask, for such strange experiences? Get outside. Get grounded. Put your bare feet on solid earth and squeeze some soil between your toes. Virgo is, after all, an Earth sign and as a Lunar Virgo, myself, I can tell you that nature therapy is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. This particular Full Moon finds itself in a pleasant trine with Pluto, the God of The Underworld. Virgo often is associated with Persephone, who is forced to spend part of the year in the underworld with her (at first, very much unwanted) husband Hades. However, I like to imagine in this case that Perseophone makes the most of her situation and goes from her sweet virginal self to an all-powerful Queen of the Underworld. I believe this Full Moon is an invitation to ask ourselves, in whatever place in our lives that we feel trapped and imprisoned, where can we actually utilize that captivity to dig deeper and find a much larger and more profound sense of power? Hades is on our side in this case. He wants us to show up real, raw and ready for reality…except with a gentle and mysterious lunar flair. Doing shadow work has real, tangible benefits. When we unearth and examine that which has been hidden away for so long, it no longer weighs us down. As I have mentioned in previous full moon reports, the full moon is generally seen as a time to “let go,” “realize” and some other such “New Agey” speak. I would like to offer a fresh perspective. The time of the full moon, in my opinion, is the time to give, and offer—whether that be to give someone comfort, offer compost to the ground, or perhaps even give your opinion where it’s warranted. In the spirit of Virgo, I believe this is really centered around the idea of true, humble service. This beautiful Full Moon invites us to put aside our egos, get low to the ground and find where we are needed. It’s not necessarily glamorous but it is nothing less than essential.

The Collective:

The Theme: Deliverance

"Sickness and healing are in every heart; death and deliverance in every hand."

— Orson Scott Card

When you think of the word “deliverance” what comes up? If you’re anything like me, images of impassioned ministers on the pulpit spouting religious doctrine and the opening musical number of The Prince of Egypt come to mind. The word does have a particularly biblical flair to it but if we break it down a little further we can see a deeper message. The word deliver comes from the Latin “de” which means “away” and “liberere” which means “to set free.” Essentially, this means to liberate something away from suffering or imprisonment. Additionally, we often use the word “deliver” to describe how we bring new babies into this world. We deliver them. In this way, there is an association with birth or renewal but only because what is being birthed becomes separated from what was holding it. What does this mean for the lunar month ahead? Combined with the dedication to service that the Virgo archetype provides, I believe that there is a shining chance for humanity to find a sense of deliverance, a sense of liberation but only through each individual in their own way of humbly walking their journey. The old adage “be the change you want to see in the world” has never been so important. That doesn’t mean you need to make grand gestures or movements (although some of us absolutely will). With Virgo, everything is about lending a hand in an almost invisible way. Small acts of service and kindness should never, ever be underestimated. And when many work in this way, the world does change. In essence, we are our own deliverance. We cannot wait for some type of savior. We must use our own two hands and enter into life fully. When I think of deliverance, I think of a long overdue rainstorm blessing a desert. Before a storm breaks, the accumulation of energy builds up to a point where it is almost unbearable and then, the rain—the glorious rain, it finally comes. This lunar month contains the long awaited Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Pisces at the beginning of April. It’s a transit Astrologers have all been talking about for quite some time. This is an opportunity for a beautiful, healing spiritual energy to affect all of humanity. It’s got a flavor of the miraculous. However, I’m a strong believer that many miracles are created by the simple, humble people who will never be known and play their part quietly. This month, be one of those people. Find some corner of the world where you can be of service and help deliver this world into new life.

Aries Rising

"Thanks to impermanence, everything is possible."

— Thich Nhat Hanh

Deliverance being the theme for the collective, this breaks down in a very specific way for you, Aries folks. The emphasis here is on the association with the “delivery” of new born children—symbolizing, of course, that in order to be properly birthed, one must separate from the mother. There is something in your life right now that most likely will be birthed this month. While the birth of the new is absolutely something to look forward to, what you may feel more than the joy of birth is the pain that it takes to separate from something you thought was comforting and safe. In fact, it is likely that this process will include you needing to sacrifice something on the behalf of something or someone you care about deeply. While this may sound a bit daunting, it is the natural way of things. We must continually surrender to the inevitable endings in life so that fresh growth can occur. This full moon, take inventory of what it is that you truly can let go of in order to benefit the whole picture. This time is an opportunity for you to learn how to deal with the acceptance of what is falling apart and therein the restoring and birthing of what is naturally coming about as a continual movement. Through this, you may find yourself learning a whole new level of self-sufficiency and will be able to draw on the wisdom gained from this experience long after the present situation is over. When things fall apart or when separation occurs, there is a natural stillness that follows. Embrace this stillness and do not see it as “nothingness” but rather the birth of a new way of being. Through your hard work and sacrifice, new insights and perspectives emerge. Resting then, will feel natural and spiritually appropriate.

Taurus Rising

"Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them."

— Albert Einstein

At first glance, the idea of limitation seems like an unpleasant one. We are often encouraged to test our limits and go beyond them. While there is medicine in this course of action, this is not the time for that type of movement. Instead, it’s essential this lunar month that you take inventory of and appreciate your limitations. Limitations actually can create guidance. Think of it this way, it’s a lot easier to hit a strike when your bowling lane has bumpers. Boundaries and limitations are healthy and useful in many ways. When we contain our energy, we give it a structure in which to build up and then flow to the appropriate avenue. Specifically, you may find this concept being especially relevant in your relationships. Often, we might think that in order to change the world or make progress we must give our whole selves over to these projects and aspirations. However, if you can manage to set clear and healthy boundaries within relationships and also around your output/input of energy, you will find great progress to be made in these facets of life. Better boundaries and limits mean greater focus. So despite perhaps feeling constrained at times by what may feel like limitations, you are actually working towards a greater freedom that is successfully achieved through structure. When it comes to creative projects this month, all I can say is plan, plan, plan. Let the energy of inspiration build up within you but create a structure so that that energy can flow appropriately. The same goes with your relationships. Communicate openly about your need for structure and you will find that people respect your boundaries and life actually becomes so much sweeter.

Journal Prompts:

Gemini Rising

“"Discipline" is a difficult word for most of us. It conjures up images of somebody standing over you with a stick, telling you that you're wrong. But self-discipline is different. It's the skill of seeing through the hollow shouting of your own impulses and piercing their secret…There is another word for self-discipline. It is patience.”

-Henepola Gunarata

There is something stirring in your family life or home which may require quite a bit more self-awareness and patience. Likely, some Universal force is prompting you to go beyond the security of what you have and it will take some inner fortitude to journey onward. However, if you can face whatever is coming to the surface with awareness, inner composure and integrity, it is likely that a greater appreciation for your family or those you consider family will develop. Instead of moving against the current, it is wise to tap into the effortless effort that keeps moving. Don’t spend your precious energy fighting what is. Trust me, you will need this energy later. Whatever is occurring in your home life most likely will require absolute honesty with yourself about your limitations. There is no need to compensate by putting on airs to appear other than you are. Just be you and express from that space. It is Nature’s way to strengthen us by challenging us and redefining the status quo by breaking it down then restoring harmony by nurturing what is born out of chaos. If you can find the self-discipline through all of this to simply meditate and watch what is occurring, allowing yourself to be part of the natural flow of how things are unfolding, you may actually find hidden gold within difficult situations. This allows you to transform these circumstances into deeper connections with not only your personal family but with the entire human family. What is the home after all but a microcosm of the human collective? By achieving peace in this space, you are in some small yet profound way, changing the world.

Journal Prompts:

If I am being completely honest with myself, where do I need greater self-discipline?

How can I exercise greater patience with my family or household?

If each person in my household represented a different nation or continent of people, how would I treat them differently?

Cancer Rising

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes,

but in having new eyes." – Marcel Proust

This lunar month invites you to take a Virgo-like microscopic lens to your thoughts and mindsets and to truly sort through them in a way that promotes greater awareness and mental health. This takes a great amount of honesty, integrity and courage. If you put your leftovers in the fridge and then forget about them for days or weeks on end, they will eventually mold and stink. The same applies to any difficulties and mistakes that we refuse to deal with. In this case, it’s not necessarily your environment that needs to be changed, but rather how you interact with it. Something requires reworking or sorting and it’s very possible that this something is your attitude or perspective. No matter where you go, there you are. So it only makes natural sense that if you want to really resolve any matter at hand, that you find resolution within yourself first. Sweeping any problems under the rug wont address the issues at hand neither will running for greener pastures. It is important that you examine your motives. Are you running away from something or are you running to something? What is the difference? It is likely that some difficult situations will not change for a while longer. So, in the meantime, how can you make this time easier on yourself? Settle down right here and right now. Meditate. Examine your thoughts and perspectives with curiosity and question them. Is everything you think true? Probably not.

Journal Prompts:

What is really true? Are you sure it’s true? How do you know?

What are you running away from? What are you running to? How are they different?

If I was a loving friend giving me advice about the situation, what would I say?

If I knew my mind were powerful enough to heal or hurt, how would I change my thoughts?

Leo Rising

“Perfection is reached, not when there is no longer anything to add,

but when there is no longer anything to take away.”

– Antoine de St. Exupery

Oh Leo friends, this Virgo Full Moon finds herself tucked neatly in your second house of finances, security and sense of worth. It is likely that this month finds you feeling rather restricted in these areas of life. While it’s very easy to feel a deep sense of scarcity and fear when this happens, there is, as always, a hidden lesson (albeit an uncomfortable one) within this. Necessity, after all, is indeed, the mother of invention. If you can find a sense of equanimity within a time of restriction then you are truly free. If you keep looking deeper, you will see a larger abundance that has nothing to do with how many pieces of clothing you have in your wardrobe. This always reminds me of some beautiful and genuinely soulful folks I met in India who, as a family of four all shared a one bedroom apartment. They would invite me over for chai and we would have the most spectacular conversations. While I was in India, I sat at the feet of what are considered some of the most prolific spiritual teachers. Yet, I felt nothing of the spiritual connection with those teachers that I felt with these beautiful humble people. Light shone out of their eyes even when there was only food enough for one meal a day. Whatever they had, they offered me with open arms. Their love was one of the holiest things I have experienced in this life. I invite you, Leo friends, to entertain the concept that perhaps life is not punishing you but rather whittling away whatever is unnecessary until what remains is only love. If you are exhausted and keep hitting walls, perhaps it’s time to take a rest and recuperate. We are never at our best thinking when we are tired and in a state of fear. Sometimes we have to go back in order to go forward. So take a deep breath. Know that this won’t last forever and that it is actually part of a greater process of bringing you into a deeper truth.

Journal Prompts:

How can my restrictions actually be blessings?

If nothing outside is truly safe and secure, what about what is within me? Is there a safe and secure place within me?

What is preventing me from loving deeper? What can I finally let go of?

What is the only thing that never changes?

Virgo Rising

“"A miracle is when the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A miracle is when one plus one equals a thousand."

— Frederick Buechner

This lunar month brings you many questions about your identity as an individual person, versus your identity as a person who is part of a group. It’s possible that over the past few years you have been more of a solitary creature. It’s true that our culture tends to encourage a rugged sort of individualism which while in some ways is inspiring, it can also be detrimental to one’s own mental health. Humans are literally wired to need one another. This month encourages you to sink a little deeper into community and to find healing, empowerment and nourishment with those who compliment your soul. There is great potential here to find unexpected abundance, a type of living that you would never be able to do all on your own. Participating in activities with others will not only expand your horizons but perhaps even pop you out of the depressive funk you might have been experiencing for the past few months. If you’ve been looking for inspiration, you might not find it by twirling around in your own thoughtspace forever. Instead, allow yourself to engage in conversations with others. You’ll be surprised what they might bring out of you and how you may also be able to contribute to their experience. Despite engaging in group activities, there may be a part of you that continues to feel slightly out of place. That is ok. Everyone feels the deep seeded longing for be-longing. You are not alone. Let this longing help you be brave and express your truth. That is where you will connect and give others permission to also be themselves. If you don’t already have an active social media presence, there is an invitation here to at least make sure that you are out there in a way that allows others to find you. I guarantee your people are also looking for beautiful souls just like yourself. Remember, you can only remain an outcast if you keep hiding. Come out of the cave and gather. This is where you will find your power and momentum.

Journal Prompts:

What types of qualities am I looking for in a community where I’d feel safe and included?

Who can I reach out to if I want deeper and more authentic conversations?

Where does my attachment to doing things by myself come from?

What do I have to contribute to a community? What are my gifts that I love to give freely?

Libra Rising

“"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

— Martin Luther King Jr.

There is something deeply esoteric and mysterious about this next lunar month, my Libra friends. Where there could be potentially rough edges, you may find unexpected softness. However, this does require your participation. There needs to be a certain type of acceptance of what you may consider your shadows or “lesser qualities.” Through accepting the state of the world and the state of your own being, a natural grace has the chance to emerge. When you blame anything for anything there is an inherent type of dishonor that comes about. However, if blame no longer needs to be part of the picture, if understanding and graciousness towards others and yourself is present, then something unexpected emerges. You are simply able to exist and thereby provide a type of energetic forgiveness that feels like a fresh cool spring after a long trek in the desert. It doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside, if you can cultivate a deep grace within, that grace will automatically create an external and palpable beauty. You may find that if you hold this feeling gently and closely to your heart, you may be able to sail through certain situations which may have otherwise been extraordinarily difficult. This Virgo full moon invites you to utilize this inner grace in service to the world. People know when they’ve been touched by grace. It feels otherworldly at times. You have that, though. Everyone has the potential to act as that graceful and forgiving hand. Take this energy to spaces that have been deprived that are hurting whether they be within your own soul and/or where people have been left behind or forgotten. So many in this world feel like outcasts or shunned for their differences or weaknesses. This is your opportunity to take that rare light you have cultivated within to a larger community. Your trusting of The Way will be contagious and before you know it, many lives will be touched by your simple presence.

Scorpio Rising

"The word “crisis” is from the Greek, meaning “a moment to decide.” The recurrent moments of crisis and decision when understood, are growth junctures, points of initiation which mark a release from one state of being and a growth into the next."

— Jill Purce

This Full Moon is sitting nicely in your 11th house of friends, community and organizations, my Scorpio friends. There is no doubt about it, you are coming to a turning point this month in some way shape or form with your friends or community. Something great is changing and shifting and in those changing times there is always a moment, a pause, right before one thing evolves into another. I like to think of these points like the Equinoxes and Solstices we have each year. Even though there is no real pause in time, there are always moments when some form suddenly transforms into another. These moments are special and rare to be truly witnessed but you certainly have the chance to do so this month. Whether for better or worse (but really, it’s always for better), your friendships and associations are definitely changing or perhaps, it is you that is changing and your friends are noticing. In any case, one of the laws of the Universe is that nothing stays the same. We are meant to evolve and grow and sometimes that means being brave and participating in larger groups and organizations and sometimes that means knowing that it’s time to say goodbye to certain associations that no longer serve you. Take a closer look at what is happening right now, particularly with your friendships. Do you notice any recurring cycles and patterns? Perhaps it’s time to examine these closer and contemplate on the potential implications of such. Know that even in times of crisis, those turning points are always turning from darkness into an increasing light or clarity. There is an invitation to explore a new way of being, a new direction. Consider how this relates to your usual patterning. It is also possible that at this time an old friend or group re-emerges in your life unexpectedly. Enjoy their return and take time to contemplate what their particular energy has to do with your cycles and pattering. This is an important moment when everything can change.

Some interesting moments are bound to happen in your public life and/or career this month, Sag friends. It is likely that someone or something very different is about to arrive via your public sphere. It’s also equally possible that this person or subject might make you a little uncomfortable, yet strangely intrigued. Get ready to have your sensibilities a little muffled. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. A wise friend once told me that everything you attract in life is a reflection of the life unlived within you. There is something about this new person or perspective that has arrived into your life to bring out a new and unexplored part of you to the surface. This may push your buttons. It may ruffle your feathers but be extra aware of your response to this. There are lessons here but only if you approach the situation with a deep sense of awareness. Believe me when I say there is a huge opportunity for transformation possible here both in you and this other person or idea. It’s also possible that you will meet someone in your career or career field that you are incredibly attracted to—a sort of forbidden fruit type of situation. Tread with caution and stay aware. Just because you are attracted to it doesn't mean it’s what you need. On the other hand, if you navigate this situation with presence, you may be able to understand more about why you find this attractive. What does it say about you and your patterning? Where does that come from? Is there some unexplored side to your psyche that you need to examine? Oftentimes, the meeting of opposites signals a time of the birth of something new. Tread slowly and steadily and be open to learning novel ways of navigating this life.

“The psychoanalytic liberation of memory explodes the rationality of the repressed individual. As cognition gives way to re-cognition, the forbidden images and impulses of childhood begin to tell the truth that reason denies.”

― Herbert Marcuse

Fundamental shifts in perspective and philosophy are what’s on the menu this month for you, my dear Cappys. This is more specifically about what you regard as an idealized type of mediation—stillness or awareness. What do you think of when you think of meditation? A serene Buddha-like figure floating gracefully a top a glistening pond of lotuses, a gentle smile on their face? If this is what you picture as meditation, you are not alone. However, I invite you to entertain the possibility that this is only one and perhaps even a limited version of what meditation can be. Because of these cultural images and misunderstandings about meditation, it’s easy to think that forced stillness is the same and one that is relaxed and natural. It’s possible that these two states look similar to an untrained eye. I can tell you, they are not. Anything that you lock up in a cage or repress will inevitably come back to bite you when you aren’t looking. If sitting still is just not doing it for you, run. Keep on running. Move, dance. Keep dancing until you drop from exhaustion. Sometimes when you try to force yourself into an uncomfortable position and sit with your scary thoughts for lengths at a time, you are actually having the opposite effect than the one desired in true meditation. True meditation is natural, effortless. It’s our natural state. So, I invite you this month to check yourself. What do you really believe about stillness and meditation? If you try to tie yourself down with a repressive force, is this really helping you? Or is there another way? When you take the time to contemplate this (better yet, contemplate it through the movement of your body), a perspective or philosophy will inevitably be challenged or perhaps even come to an end. Honor this process of change and splitting apart from your previous perspective. In the end, it will bring you so much more peace than you can know.

It’s time to bring some sunlight and fresh air to darker spaces, Aquarius loves. I’m referring specifically to areas of your psyche that feel deeper and perhaps even untouched. Imagine traveling into the untouched rooms of your soul and opening up the curtains, flinging open the window and dusting a bit. This automatically will have long lasting effects on your most intimate relationships. Especially those relationships where you have shared assets and perhaps deeper karmic bonds. If you are noticing any type of division or separation in these relationships, now is the time to examine how you are contributing to this rift. Luckily, you have the ability to bring fresh air into stagnant places (you may want to literally do this as well in your home). If you do this, your vision will become so much more clear. Without too much effort you will likely find yourself able to restore balance and gently steer the course of events towards harmony and balance. Really take inventory on any atmosphere, internal or external that has become polluted. In a metaphorical sense, fresh air is like innocence, something that you’ve always had whether you believe you still know it or not. Look for where division started in yourself. If you find that place then you can just as easily begin to experience reunification. Examine yourself for unexplored attitudes of discord, alienation and suspicion and by any means necessary, clear them out. If you can find a way to bring in some new and fresh energy, you will notice a definite increase in harmony and fulfillment both with your relationship with yourself and those you hold most dear.

Pisces Rising

""What distinguishes - in both senses of that word - contemplation is rather this: it is a knowing which is inspired by love. "Without love there would be no contemplation." Contemplation is a loving attainment of awareness. It is intuition of the beloved object."

— Josef Pieper

What is love? As soon as I ask this question, the inevitable Haddaway ballad comes rushing into my mind trailing off into “baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me, no more.” Is love supposed to hurt? What is the substance of love? These are all questions you might find yourself pondering this next month, my dear Pisces folks. Contemplation is assuredly the name of the game over the next few weeks, particularly as it pertains to love, relationships and partnerships. Whether you are single or with your boo, it’s likely that some deeper reflections will become more readily available to you especially concerning your perspective on love. I invite you to take a deeper look at the cycles and patterns in your life when it comes to relationships. There are certainly those patterns that you play out, perhaps as a means to resolve early childhood trauma. But what is underneath that? What is the deeper cycle? What is the thread of eternity that carries you through each and every moment of your relationships? In order to master the current lessons in your life, it’s important to really meditate on the continual themes. If this is too difficult to do alone, ask a trusted friend or confidant to honestly reflect back to you if they see any repeated cycles or themes playing out in your life. When you become aware of these cycles, it becomes an enormous advantage. Entering into your life with attention to your patterning allows you to navigate that patterning with more intention and thereby possibly break out of those cycles into the deeper place of resting in your true nature. If you can honestly ask yourself where your blindspots are and review them kindly yet sternly, with a bit of distance, you have a chance at achieving true integration. When integrated, the experience of love becomes far more vast and glorious than you can ever imagine.

Ask a friend to honestly (and kindly) point out any blind spots you might have when it comes to relationships. Journal about these blindspots. Be compassionate with yourself at the same time contemplating how to transform these into gifts versus burdens.
